How long does an industrial coating project take?
A single silo or piece of equipment is typically a few days. An elevated water tank exterior generally runs two to four weeks depending on access, containment requirements and weather. We provide a schedule with the quote.
Can you work while our plant stays in production?
Yes. Most of our work is done in live facilities. We plan containment, staging and shift timing around your production windows and coordinate lockout/tagout with your team.
What surface preparation standard do you use?
It depends on the coating system and exposure — commonly SSPC-SP 6 commercial blast or SP 10 near-white for immersion service, and SP 3 or SP 11 power tool cleaning for maintenance work. The standard is written into every specification.
Do you handle potable water tank linings?
Yes. Interior linings for potable water storage are applied using NSF/ANSI 61 certified systems with the required cure, ventilation and disinfection procedures.
How do you contain blast media and overspray?
Containment is sized to the site: shrouding, tarping, ground protection and negative air where required. Spent abrasive is captured, tested and disposed of lawfully.
What documentation do we receive at closeout?
Ambient condition logs, surface profile and cleanliness verification, wet and dry film thickness readings by coat, adhesion and holiday test results, and photo documentation.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Coating Solutions is fully licensed and insured, and certificates of insurance are available for prequalification packages.

We operate from offices in Coconut Creek, Florida and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, serving the East Coast, and we mobilize nationwide for larger projects.
